Sometimes........depends. If I'm sat around naked then I don't,but then again I can see folks coming up the driveway so I can be prepared.

Are you an 'Ex Witness' or just you?
by creativhoney ini just wondered how people feel about this?
- do some only mix with other ex witnesses a couple of my friends, and it seems that by definition, they are 'ex witnesses' almost like a religion in itself.
- i would never define myself as an 'ex employee of xxx' as you leave it behind it doesnt define you.

I suppose I would class myself as a non practicing JW,well that's what my partner calls me. She is an athiest but is open to talk about what I was and who I am now. I'm still me,but.....I can indulge a bit more openly in things I enjoyed before but was always concious of what it may mean to being a JW. Like music for instance,I've always loved music and at one point sold a load of albums through pressure from others......
I do have them back now of course. I don't really associate with any other ex JWs,I have made a new circle of friends where I live now and non of them know I was a JW.....yet. I'd be quite happy to talk about it to them if the subject ever arose.
I like me in my skin at the moment,it feels good.

i paid $2 for a powerball ticket, so now i need to figure out how to spend my winnings.
i've never even looked at lotteries before, but the woman at the counter was nice enough to explain the different ones to me.

Co co,you is a late starter, but hope you enjoy your Pink Floyd journey. Try to get Pulse - the live DVD and see the power of a full live show. Songs that make my hair stand up on end with joy are 'Great gig in the sky' and Comfortably Numb'

Hotel California - is this Eagles Album Single for Christians?
by JWoods init came on the car radio this morning, and reminded me that this was probably the big single of 1977 - just about the beginning of the end time for me with the jehovah's witnesses.. now, you might understand that as a doubting elder with many deep issues at hand (it was the ray franz era of disenchantment for many elders)...i never heard much from them about the lyrics.. however - listening to it today, i can see where a "good" dubbie might find it to be at least as demonized as the smurfs cartoons.. and yet, very ironically, looking at them then and now, i always viewed it to be a sort of pop-social commentary on the california celebrity scene.. stretching it a little, you could almost compare the traveler's nightmare experience to getting trapped into the jehovah's witnesses - thinking it was a safe haven but then finding out that "you can never leave".. "we haven't had that spirit here since 1959".
"in the master's chamber they gathered for the feast".... yes, i can apply a lot of this to the cult entrapment experience..
